Stephen Whitehead is a socially engaged/relational artist. His practice grows empathy with nature; developing environmental literacy and agency with concrete actions and a sense of community in that action.

Stephen is the Green Mentor for Handsworth Association of Schools has added a Green Mentor to work in our schools, to recruit Green Influencers across Handsworth. The intention is to engage local young people in issues relating to climate change and environment and develop leadership skills so they can become leaders in their own areas helping create a wider impact on their peers and communities.
